Life as a cycle

Although i do agree with some of the examples of progress i tend to disagree with the premiss that all groups should be accepted. Accepting every cultural change isn't necessarily progress. Should we then accept bestiality and polygamy, if they become a big enough group in our culture?

 To one person we are progressing, but that same change to another person isn't necessarily progress. Each person has their ideal society in mind, but each individual utopia is different from another, so not everyone will be pleased at one time. Someone will always have something to disagree about.
